STAIR NOSINGS

Stair Nosings for a Durable & Seamless Look

Manufactured from your flooring material—or from unfinished stock when preferred—for an easy and seamless installation, our custom nosings provide a polished, cohesive look that enhances the overall appearance of your space.

Each product lists the compatible materials it can be made from.

Our standard nosing is designed up to the maximum width of your flooring material—and a front drop of up to 3 inches. This style is fully customizable and remains our most popular option due to its versatility.

A flat nosing maintains the same thickness as the flooring material from end to end. It’s ideal for achieving a clean, seamless look—commonly used with waterfall staircases or when paired with a glass handrail for a modern finish.

A waterfall nosing refers to any nosing with a front face that measures 3 inches or more. These nosings are commonly used with waterfall staircases, creating a smooth, continuous transition between the nosing and the stair treads. Waterfall nosings can be either straight (90 degrees) or angled, depending on the desired aesthetic and structural requirements.

Curved nosing features a radiused front edge, designed to maintain a continuous, flowing transition between curved and straight nosings. Because each curved space is unique, a physical template is required for precise manufacturing. These are often manufactured for landings often seen with winding staircases.

U-shaped nosings are hollow on the inside, with a front profile that forms a “U” due to the absence of a filler. They are typically used to cap existing stair nosings when the original nose is left intact, providing a clean, finished look without requiring structural modification.
